Faith, love, optimism, humility, honesty and whole lot more, maybe all the words that would describe a kind of perfect. That’s the reason why I don’t want to answer the question “Why do you support David Archuleta?” because I always find it hard to choose the right words and phrases to describe my respect to the man. What I know is that, he affects the way I looked life. His optimism and colorful belief in the idea of making things possible despite of adversities is something I treasured the most. David taught me to look on the positive side of everything, that life can be difficult and overwhelming, and that in order to survive the sufferings of life, we should learn to look at the bright side.
David’s musicality and his way of singing is probably the first thing we love from him. His love of family is incomparable and he being so genuine in interacting with different people is way too impeccable. He is not afraid to say what is on his mind and he will do things which he felt comfortable to do. Not everybody can express themselves, because we are always thinking of what other people would say about the actions we take. David does not; his music said so much about it. Starting from ‘Works for Me”, “Who I am”, The Other Side of Down”, “Nothing Else Better to do”, “Elevator” and so on…all of them express David’s personality both in and out. Sometimes, I’m afraid to be myself, because I’m afraid that people may not like it and eventually reject me. It is David who opened my idea of disregarding what others would say and just be me, that I’ll never be lonely if I learned to befriend myself.
I love and support David because he taught me to believe in the power of perseverance and that life is like a roller coaster, that there will be ups and downs during the ride and that you must be prepared before you ride to it. He once said that life can be confusing, confusing in a sense that at some point you will find it hard to understand what to do and that sometimes you will be troubled with deciding which path to take towards fulfillment. David showed me the importance of focusing on the bright side of everything. Through him I learned that life is how the way we will look at it and that being on the other side of down will always outdo the bad things.
